His tongue pushes its way through the gap in her lips.

It’s not a simple lick and retreat like before; this time, it’s deep inside her mouth. A wet, fleshy sensation gently licks her own tongue.

…Is this really Edwin Eccleston?

Stunned into a daze by the shocking realization she couldn’t believe even while looking into his eyes, she saw his expression turn to one of concern. He pulled his tongue out and broke the kiss.

“Do you… not like this?”

“Oh, no. I… I do, huh—”

To say out loud that she liked this lewd act… she couldn’t stop herself from correcting her words. As soon as she uttered the first syllable, Edwin took her lips again.

When his tongue pushed its way back in, this time Giselle licked his back with the tip of hers. A velvety, melting sensation exploded, and a thrill erupted deep within her chest like fireworks.

The man who was mingling his tongue with hers must have felt an electric jolt as well, because a loud moan spilled into her mouth. The sound was so carnal, the kind that belonged in a bed, that Giselle flinched and her eyes widened.

The man who had shyly pulled away just a moment ago was now delving in even deeper, persistently exploring her mouth. He tugged at the back of her neck to press their lips together completely. She couldn’t tear her eyes away from the man so engrossed in this deep kiss.

“Do you not like this?”

No, I thought it was you who didn’t like this.

It was only natural to assume that a man who despised everything promiscuous and immoral would be disgusted by a deep kiss, which was no different from sex with how flesh was pressed and rubbed deep inside.

But whether he was feverishly exploring every corner of her mouth or glinting like a starved beast, sucking her tongue and lips as if he wanted to devour her, he was passionately enjoying this moment.

I was wrong.

She hated being wrong, but this time, it made her body tremble with joy.

Edwin Eccleston is a man, too.

The Earth is round. Fire is hot, and water is wet. Duke Eccleston is the most gentlemanly man Giselle has ever met, and Colonel Eccleston is the most terrible superior she has ever served under.

It wasn’t that she had just discovered this obvious truth.

She was simply overwhelmed with joy that she was the only one who could make him a man. It was as romantic as a fairy tale where a true love’s kiss breaks a curse. She was sinking into a strange childish innocence amidst an incredibly erotic kiss when…

‘Huh? What is he touching…’

Again, this odd moment of purity ended with an action unbecoming of a man indifferent to physical desire. His hands traced down her body and then gripped the center of her thigh. She lowered her gaze to confirm what she was seeing, and at that very moment, his lips unexpectedly came away from hers, and a small gasp escaped her.

Edwin had lifted her straight up.

His blue eyes, now level with hers, showed an apologetic expression.

“Does your neck hurt?”

Because of their height difference, Giselle had to crane her neck back to kiss him while standing. He had mistaken her discomfort for a lack of concentration on the kiss.

“It’s not that. I’m just surprised… I didn’t know you liked this kind of kiss, too.”

“Neither did I.”

Giselle’s lips curled into a smile, but Edwin bit her so fiercely that she had no time to laugh.

The friction in their mouths and the contact below her waist caused her body, trapped between the man and the wall, to grow hot. Giselle sucked on Edwin’s tongue, then glanced down and let out a short breath.

The skirt of her officer’s uniform was rolled up above her thigh, revealing the garter strap that held up her stockings.

The hand that gripped the bare skin above her stocking made the lewd sight into an erotic painting. The skin indented under his thumb. The other fingers were hidden under her skirt, but the way they tickled and stroked her thigh was vividly clear.

This time, the thrill bubbled up from her lower abdomen. Giselle kicked off her shoes. The two heels precariously clinging to her feet flew off and clattered somewhere in the room, but he didn’t turn his head to look.

Still, as if he knew what had happened, Giselle greedily sucked the smile from his lips. She even wrapped her legs around his waist.

Edwin grew even more aroused. If that was the case, Giselle had no choice but to get even more aroused herself. At this point, both army officers had completely forgotten the fact that they had to go to work to protect the country.

They turned their heads to keep their lips tightly sealed, so much so that not even saliva could escape. They poured their moans into each other’s mouths because they didn’t want to be apart. The only time they separated was when they bit and sucked each other’s tongues.

A moment later, a third groan, a small whine, mixed in with their stifled sounds. The oblivious Loddy, who had come in through the door Giselle had left open, had interrupted them. Her lost rationality began to return.

Still, she couldn’t stop the kiss right away out of regret. They slowly reduced their pace as if savoring the lingering afterglow before their lips parted. A long, translucent thread of saliva stretched from the tip of Edwin’s tongue to the tip of Giselle’s.

It was an incredibly lewd kiss until the very last moment.

Now it was time to wipe away the evidence. But Giselle felt like there was nothing left to wipe away.

The man who used to wipe her lipstick away with a handkerchief when she was a child was now wiping it away with a kiss.

The faint red on Edwin’s lips felt like a stain on her heart. She raised her hand to rub it off, but he kept pecking at her lips, making her fail repeatedly.

“Was it that good?”

He smiled, as hazy as she was, and nodded. An enchanted voice spilled from his parted lips as he gasped for air.

“I’m going to be begging for kisses often.”

You can beg for more than just kisses.

Now, the childish love that a thirteen-year-old girl dreamed of is no longer enough.

Because today’s Giselle is a woman.

It was a Saturday afternoon at the end of the first month of the new year, and Giselle was back to a life without a man.

She was wearing a baggy silk dress over a terribly dorky but incredibly soft and warm sweater she’d bought at a charity auction while drunk in college. She hadn’t even bothered to take out the pins in her hair from the night before, let alone the scarf that was wrapped around it.

She was dressed so poorly for a day she was supposed to go on a date with Edwin, but that was because their plans had been canceled. He had called early that morning, saying that some urgent situation had come up that had nothing to do with her mission and that he had to stay put.

She had always assumed that only lower-ranking soldiers were burdened with night duty and emergency summons, but it was only after dating a colonel that she realized high-ranking officers were also frequently called in for demanding work.

It was a shame.

It was a shame for him, but Giselle couldn’t exactly be called pitiful. How long had it been since she had a weekend all to herself?

The satisfaction that comes from being alone is just as valuable as the fulfillment one feels when with their lover.

She couldn’t exactly lounge around in a stretched-out sweater in front of the man she liked, could she? She hadn’t even done that as a child. The same went for Edwin. The gentleman, who was always impeccably dressed in a suit and good manners, never showed a disheveled appearance, even when they were mixing each other’s saliva like hungry beasts.

For the first time in a while, Giselle lay on the sun-drenched living room sofa in her most comfortable clothes, listening to jazz and reading a book. Every now and then, she would drink some tea, stare at the dog sleeping with its head on her arm, and secretly eat a cookie, letting it melt in her mouth.

As she was reveling in her solitude, it suddenly occurred to her that this was the perfect opportunity to smoke as much as she wanted. She got up to grab the cigarettes from the bedside table drawer and was about to go to the window when…

Ding-dong.

Of all times for the doorbell to ring.

It must be the mailman. He has a package that’s too big for the slot.

She wanted to believe that her alone time wasn’t over yet, but the frantic wagging of Loddy’s tail told her otherwise. It was a wise decision to put the cigarettes back in the drawer and head to the door.

“Daddy’s here, Loddy. Open the door. You’re old enough to be going to school, so you should be able to open a door.”

The things he was saying to the dog, who was panting excitedly with its nose in the mail slot, were ridiculous. Giselle was about to burst out laughing and grab the doorknob when she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and froze in horror.

“Just a moment.”

She quickly took the old scarf off her head and pulled out the pins.

Why did I put so many in?

Cursing her abundant hair, which she had always considered a blessing, she quickly pulled out all the pins, shook her head wildly, and ran her fingers through her hair to comb it.

After getting her curls into a rough shape, her eyes fell on the stretched-out sweater. She couldn’t take this off.

She wasn’t wearing a bra.
